How can I get soap out of the carpet?

Well, more like mive amounts of stain remover and Tide detergent. Because I was trying to get iodine out (it worked!) but the soap stayed. And idk, I'm scared to just pour lots of water on it because the fabric will, like, rot or whatever, right? But idk. ;D So what do I do?
